Why I do what I do?
Pregnancy is a time of great transformation for a woman, both physically and emotionally.
Despite the many challenges that pregnancy can bring, it can also be a time of great sensuality and femininity for a woman. Unfortunately, the sensual side of pregnancy often goes unseen or uncelebrated in mainstream media, which tends to focus on the more practical aspects of pregnancy.
But I think pregnancy can be a time of great beauty and femininity, as a woman’s body swells and changes in preparation for birth. The curves and contours of a pregnant belly can be incredibly alluring, and after the Maternity Photo Session many women find that they feel more sensual and confident during pregnancy than at any other time in their lives.

The maternity shoot with Elvina was one of the most magical experiences of my pregnancy journey. From start to finish, Elvina’s vision for photography is so beautiful and unique. She made me feel comfortable on the shoot, gave excellent direction so I knew exactly how to pose and what expression would look best, and was so much fun to work with! She has a strong eye for an image that invokes a powerful, feminine, whimsical rendering of the pregnant mama. I felt like a goddess and I am OBSESSED with the final images. Everyone who has seen them can not believe how stunning they are!! She had the edited photos back to me in 1 week and they were all incredible. If you want a gorgeous outcome that is nothing like the maternity pictures all your friends are taking (in the best way possible!!) you must book with Elvina! The photos from our shoot will be on the wall in my baby’s nursery and I will treasure them forever! I look forward to working with her again in the future!
OMG I think I am speechless! All of her photos came out amazing!
For experience: I had a great time at our beach photo session (even early on a foggy day!) with Elvina. She made me feel comfortable and told us good cues so we could understand exactly what she was envisioning. I feel like even the seagulls in the background posed for her! The hour-or-so we had flew by because we were having so much fun.
For photos: I did not really know what to expect but I am blown away! The photos show us genuinely moving and enjoying ourselves instead of standing still and posing which looks so beautiful and authentic. She captured the spacing very well and used the whole “rule of 3rds” thing.
I am trying to think of something to critique but I can’t think of negatives at this point
She also must be a miracle worker on photoshop too because I have acne but I don’t see any in these photos!
